PM2230 meter can only be used as a slave device and not as a master. It can only give data when polled by a master.
To communicate it as a slave device to some other Ethernet product, You will find a Rs485 modbus port on the meter, wire that port to the modbus port of Ethernet device.
Now in the meter go to setup and set the communication parameters that is Unit id, baud rate and parity. The baud rate and parity should be same as set on the ethernet device.
Then using the modbus register address of the PM2230 meter you can read the required data registers.
