Issue:
Some installations may require extra depth in a cabinet for deep equipment or cable management, or to make cabinets of different depths flush for baying.

Cause:
In order to bay cabinets of different depths there needs to be a way to extend a cabinet's depth. Sometimes extra depth is required because the equipment or cables require more room.
Resolution:
The EcoAisle product line offers depth extenders. They can also be used outside of an EcoAisle installation. The depth extender can be used in the front or read ot a cabinet. They only make the cabinet deeper. They do not extend the mounting depth of accessory mounting rails. Depth extenders were originally designed to allow cabinets of different depths to match so they can be bayed. The roof of the depth extender is not load bearing. Do not run cables, troughs or ladders atop the depth extenders.

The depth extenders can also be cascaded. When doing so be aware that the rear rails do not extend past the original cabinet so additional depth extensions may impede access to equipment.
