Công suất tản nhiệt của biến tần Altivar 61 khi ở trạng thái sẵn sàng (RDY - Biến tần được cấp nguồn nhưng động cơ không hoạt động) phụ thuộc vào kích thước của biến tần và cấu hình phần cứng đó là các Card tùy chọn được sử dụng (như Card mã hoá, Card mở rộng ngõ vào ra, ... ).
Xét trường hợp có 2 Card tùy chọn (2 * 3.25W) và 1 Card mã hóa (4.25W) thì công suất tản nhiệt khoảng 34W đến 53W cho công cuất biến tần Altivar 61 lên đến 18.5KW.
Tối đa là 100W cho kích thước lớn nhất của biến tần Altivar 61.
