Cause:

An external wrap-around bypass makes it possible to upgrade or replace your UPS with zero downtime. It also allows you to quickly restore power to your load in case of catastrophic failure.

Resolution:

The attached install guide gives you detailed diagrams on how to wire your SURT15K/SURT20K with an SBP20KP external bypass as well as a stepdown transformer (if your installation calls for one).
