Issue
After upgrading from PME 8.0 to PME 8.1, the Web Application no longer gives an audible alert for Unacknowledged alarms that are no longer active.

Cause
The audible alarm alert performance was changed between PME 8.0 and PME 8.1. See the tables below:

PME 8.1
In Power Monitoring Expert 8.0, an Audible Alert will sound for all Unacknowledged Alarms, regardless if the alarm is active or inactive.
In Power Monitoring Expert 8.1, an Audible Alarm will only sound for Unacknowledged Active Alarms.
Resolution:
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*
1) Open the attached .sql file in SQL Server Management Studio
2) Configure the 'SET Value =' to the desired behavior.
'true' = This will activate Audible alerts when there are Unacknowledged alarms.
'false' = This will activate Audible alerts only when there are Active alarms (default setting).
The Application Modules services do not need to be restarted after the query is executed as the change is picked up automatically.
Note: This article applies only to Power Monitoring Expert 8.2. In Power Monitoring Expert 9.0, the behavior of the audible alerts is now configurable in the Web Applications under Settings > Alarm Views
