What causes error 006 alarm on Lexium 23 ?
The Alarm error 006 is caused when the servo motor and or servo drive are overloaded.
The drive monitors the motor total torque percentage and in the event that the motor torque exceeds 100% of the maximum possible torque then alarm message 006 is displayed on the drive.

Is the drive and motor combination properly sized for the application? Perhaps a higher capacity drive and motor are required.

Has the machine mechanics changed?  If there is additional load on the drive and motor as a result of a faulty mechanical system then alarm 006 can occur.
Check the machine mechanics to insure there are no issues causing an additional frictional load.

To clear the AL006 alarm activate the digital input that is assigned as ARST ( Alarm Reset ).  By default digital input DI5 is assigned as the ARST input.  If your paramater settings are not configured to use ARST then to reset AL006 you must power cycle the Lexium 23 drive off then back on.

If the AL006 alarm continues to occur you should disconnect the motor from the physical load to see if the error still occurs. If the error no longer occurs then there is a mechanical issue causing the excessive load.
If the error continues to occur then you may have a faulty motor or faulty drive.
