What are the pulse output characteristics of PM3210 ?

Issue

What are the pulse output characteristics of the PM3210 meter?

Product Line

PowerLogic™ PM3210 Series Meter.

Environment

Energy monitoring systems where pulse output is used for interfacing with external devices such as counters, data loggers, or building management systems.

Resolution

The pulse output of the PM3210 meter is used exclusively for active energy pulse output. Key characteristics include:

  • Configurable pulse frequency (pulses/kWh)
  • Configurable pulse width, with a minimum of 50 ms
  • Pulse stop duration is equal to or longer than the pulse width
  • The pulse output reflects primary energy consumption, considering transformer ratios
  • It is important to set appropriate values for pulse frequency and pulse width to avoid pulse loss due to over-counting
