PME Fails to show real-time data through the slideshow in the table gadget dashboards

Issue
Fails to show real-time data through the slideshow in the table gadget dashboards reported for PME9/PME2020

Description of the error:
Source: Fetch Realtime Data
Detail: The application client encountered an error: SyntaxError: Unexpected token <in JSON at position 4>

Environment
PME9
PME2020 CU1

Steps to reproduce the issue

  • Create a dashboard that included a table gadget
  • Create a slideshow that includes the dashboard in step 1
  • Copy the link to share the slideshow
  • Close the web App in the Web client machine (This step is important because if you are log on in another tab on that machine, you can see the real-time data correctly)
  • Open the link to the slideshow

Cause

  • The Table Gadget needs to have the customer Authenticate in PME in a separate tab since it is real-time data.
  • Real-time data request needs authentication. Slideshow is un-authenticated

Proposed Solution

  • The Workaround to have a secondary tab open like you mentioned that is logged into PME. This Authenticates the session and allows the Table Gadget to display the Real Time data.
  • There are no plans to change this behavior at this point, and if the customer wanted to push for this change then it would have to be added as a feature request through the Country Offer Manager.
  • Bug # 99802 has been updated and requested that the Documentation be updated to reflect that the Table Gadget only works in the Slideshow if the PME user is also authenticated through a separate tab.
