Adjusting Overload Threshold Settings on Galaxy VS

Issue:

Customers would like to adjust the overload threshold setting to reduce frequent warning alarms on Galaxy VS.

Product Line:

Galaxy VS

Environment:

Galaxy VS (All versions)

Cause:

The default overload warning threshold is set to 75%, which may generate frequent alarms depending on the load profile.

Alarms:

Load on UPS in below warning level

Load on UPS is above warning level

Resolution:

The overload threshold can be adjusted directly from the UPS display. Follow these steps:

  1. Be physically in front of the unit.
  2. Navigate to:
    Configuration → Output
  3. If prompted for login credentials, use:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin (all lowercase)
  4. Modify the Overload Threshold % setting as required (e.g., increase to 90% to reduce alarms).
