Firmware Upgrade Options for Smart-UPS Line-Interactive SCL, SMC, SMT, SMTL, and SMX UPS Models
Introduction:
Smart-UPS Line-Interactive SCL, SMC, SMT, SMTL, and SMX UPS models support user-upgradeable firmware. Firmware upgrades can provide product improvements, feature enhancements, and cybersecurity remediations throughout the product lifecycle.
Important: During a firmware upgrade, battery backup is unavailable. Equipment powered by the UPS will not be protected from power failures.
Applicable models:
UPS models with the prefix SCL, SMC, SMT, SMTL and SMX

Available for UPS models with a SmartConnect port.
Firmware upgrades are automatically made available for your UPS via the Schneider Electric Cloud. When a new firmware version is available for your device, the following status screen will appear on the UPS LCD:
To initiate the UPS firmware upgrade, navigate to the Configuration menu, select Install FW and press the ↵ button.
UPS firmware upgrades can be initiated remotely for SmartConnect accounts with Standard or Advanced subscriptions. Refer to this article for instructions to proceed.

If a previous version of the Firmware Upgrade Wizard is installed, uninstall it before downloading the latest version.
Download the latest version of the Firmware Upgrade Wizard compressed ZIP file, and the Firmware Upgrade Wizard User Guide.
