How to configure the ports for XBTGT communication over Ethernet link?

Goals and Symptoms

How to configure the ports for XBTGT communication over Ethernet link?

Facts and Changes

When we use Ethernet link with some routers or switches or firewall, an error message could occur when the communication ports are not opened: ports 80, 8080, 6000, 6001, 13777

Causes and Fixes

When we use Ethernet link with some routers or switches or firewall, they have something called Sophisticated Access Control Lists (ACLs) and enhanced security. You can configure access lists at your router to control access to a network: access lists can prevent certain traffic from entering or exiting a network

In order to configure the router, we need to perform the following actions:
- to check in the user guide for the router which ports are used
- to discuss with the IT engineer on how to diagnose the network

Regarding XBTGT terminal, we must ensure that the following ports are open for access:
- ports 6000 & 6001: Data sharing exchange for variables
- port 13777: download, upload, transfer data (including recipes) and data manager
- ports 80 & 8080 : web gate
