The LC1F500 flashes near the coil when the unit is energized. Is this normal?

Resolution:
This "coil flash" is normal. When the unit pulls in, the coil circuit is switched internally via a snap switch. When the first circuit is broken, there is a brief flash of light from the arc which is normal.
