The Somove software offers a very powerful function called “Scope”, it is very helpful when trouble-shooting or we wish to learn the behavior of the Altivar drive.
What it can do it that it can be used similarly to an oscilloscope, we can use it to see the DC bus capacitor voltage, motor current waveform, motor torque waveform, motor speed curve, thermal state, and so on.
On ATV320, 312, 32, the feature is less advanced than process drive. the limitation is more obvious on the resolution of the curve, and the triggering methods.
Take ATV320 as an example:
1. Connect drive to somove. It is recommended to use the modbus serial cable TCSMCNAM3M002P.

2. Go to Scope tab.

3. Select channels

4. Select Triggering method, in the sample setting, the recording will start automatically when the motor current has a rising edge surging 10A.

5. Select Sampling rate, 2ms is recommended to achieve the most resolution.

6. Click run when ready, and Sample of curves achieved
