PME - Can I downgrade my SQL version?

Issue
I would like to move my PME database from SQL Standard to SQL Express edition. Can I do that?

Resolution

As per the PME System Guide, moving from an SQL Standard to Express is considered a downgrade and is not possible.

SQL Server Explainer

Moving from a new version of the SQL to an older version of SQL is also not possible.
