Troubleshooting Steps to activate the official License of PlantStruxure PES:
I. License Activate Failure Causes
Main reasons for different errors while activating PES official license are:
1.Not strictly following the activation/return procedure based on Floating License Manager (FLM) help.
2. Not returning all license before reinstalling operation system. Then try to reactivate with new Pure Windows.
3. Incorrect network configuration result in registration server that can't respond to activation requirement.
4. Not removing training entries in registry results in incapability to connect to registration server.
II.License Activate Troubleshooting
When installing an official license on a computer that never had any PES license, there is nothing to configure, because the License Manager is pre-configured to access to the Registration Server.
Before, user tries to activate official license on server, below steps needs to be executed to make sure about right configuration:
1. Step1: Check the Network Environment
Public network: Do nothing, go to step2
Schneider network: Make sure for correct proxy configuration.
No Internet access: Activate/return license by mail
2. Step2: Check Windows Service to make sure LmadminSchneider and FlexNet Licensing Service is started
Start the service lmadminSchneider manually in the Windows Services dialog box (via Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Services).
3. Step3: Delete FNOServerURI and WebPortal in Windows Registry.
For Windows 7 /32bits
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Schneider Electric\Common\License
For Windows 7 /64bits
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Schneider Electric\Common\License
Delete the entries in FNOServerURI and WebPortal
Then, user can activate official license (Refer to the Licensing guide User Manual for additional information).
