Connection lost between Unity Pro PC and PLC (M340) after log off a session. The USB cable must be disconnected then reconnected to re-establish the connection.

Facts and Changes

When a log off session occurs the Remote Access Service (RAS) are automatically closed.

Causes and Fixes

It is possible to change it by configuring the registry key KeepRasConnections.
Open Registry (RUN / regedit)
Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

The KeepRasConnections string already exists.
Put the value data at 1. To do that:

• • Select the line "KeepRasConnections"
    Click the right button of the mouse >> Modify / Value Data then write 1

The KeepRasConnections string does not exist.
Add KeepRasConnections To do that:

• • Go on Winlogon directory
    Click the right button of the mouse >> New / String Value then write KeepRasConnections. Take care to respect the syntax (Upper case/lower case).
    Put the value data at 1.
