How to configure drives and soft starters connected in modbus network through modbus serial communication?.
1. Please ensure the modbus wiring is done as shown in the modbus manual, the screen shot shown below for reference.
2. Connect the connection cable TCSMCNAM3M002P in above splitter's RJ45 socket or junction box RJ45 connector shown above. The cable can be connected any of RJ45 connection point in the modbus network to access all the drives and softstarters connected in the network.
3. Somove software should be used for configuring multiple number of VFD and soft starters connected in modbus network.
Open Somove software form start ---> Click on Edit Connection ---> Press Modbus Serial ---> Press Advanced Setting ----> Configuration ----> check the settings are as shown in screen shot below.

4. Click on Edit Connection ---> Press Modbus Serial ---> Press Advanced Setting ----> Scan. The Scan mode should be selected Multipoint and Address Range should be selected all as shown in screen shot below and press OK.
5. In somove ----> Press "Scan Network" and the list of drives and soft starters will be displayed as below.
6. Select any of the drive and press "Connect" - now the drive is connected and you can do the programming, control and monitoring of the drive through modbus network and the screen shot as below.
