Unity Pro: Instructions for importing a section online using the Wizard.
Message: 'On Line Modification Authorization' indicates that you must build the changes in Offline mode.
The reason for this message is that the Wizard makes several modifications during the import for maximizing the compatibility.
The character set is changed to unicode and leading digits are added to the variables.
To import a section online you right click on Sections - Choose Import and point to the section - Check Options box 'With wizard...'.
When the import wizard is selected, a confirmation is requested. However, you cannot import a section online with the Wizard unless you set up a Project Setting offline before going online with the project.
If you want to use the Import Section Wizard online, you must do the following before going online to the controller.
-Click on 'Tools\Project Settings'
-Click on 'Variables'.
-Select the checkbox for 'Allow Leading Digits'.
-Click on the down arrow for the 'Character Set'
-Select the 'Unicode'
-Click on 'Apply'.
-Click on 'Yes' to confirm the 'On Line Modification Authorization' message.
-Click on OK to close the 'Project Settings' window.
-Click on \Build\Rebuild All Project'.
-Save the application.
- Connect and to transfer the application to the PLC
- You can then Import the section using the import Wizard.
