Why is the refresh tags section of ENM 8.3.1 not populating the tags or the alarms are not coming in?
Issue:
Alarms are not appearing in the Event Notification Module (ENM), or the Refresh Tags operation does not display the PME OPC Server.
Product Line:
Power Monitoring Expert 7.2.x
Power Monitoring Expert 8.x
Power Monitoring Expert 9.0
Environment:
Event Notification Module (ENM) 8.3.1
Cause:
An issue exists with the new alarm proxy not interfacing correctly with the Event Notification Module, preventing alarms from being received and blocking the PME OPC Server from appearing during tag refresh.
Resolution:
Warning
Take backups of any files before applying updates. Ensure backups are stored in a safe location (for example, the Desktop).
Apply the ENM patch that upgrades ENM 8.3.1 to ENM 8.3.2.
This update resolves the alarm proxy communication issue.
Important:
- This patch applies only to ENM 8.3.1 used with PME 8.1.
- After upgrading to ENM 8.3.2, alarms should populate correctly and the PME OPC Server should appear during Refresh Tags.
Recommendation:
If you are using an older version of PME, consider upgrading to the latest version for improved protocol support and security. For assistance with integration or upgrades, contact Schneider Electric Technical Support at: pmo-psup@se.com
