When Altivar process is controlled via terminals and using 2-wire control it is always digital input 1 associated with the run forward (FWD) command. It is not possible to re-assign the run FWD command to other digital inputs.
Only run reverse is optional and can be assigned to any input.
Note that in 3-wire control the DI1 is assigned to stop and DI2 to run FWD. Not possible to change them.

Although digital input 1 has a fixed assignment (run FWD in 2-wire control), it can also be assigned (multi-assignment) to an additional function.
E.g. DI1 = run FWD and preset speed 2
