Issue
There is conflicting information to determine if a 140CRA39108 can be used in an M580 Safety System RIO. In the Modicon Quantum 140CRA31908 Adapter Module Installation and Configuration Guide, (NVE75259, 12/2018, page 40) a table lists the supported M580 CPU's. There are no M580 Safety CPU's listed, but Unity and Control Expert allow configuration of the 140CRA39108's in M580 Safety systems.

Quantum 140CRA31908 Adapter Modules
Resolution
The 140CRA31908 can be used in an M580 Safety RIO system. Whichever the case, eRIO with 140CRA31200 or RIO with 140CRA31908, the ethernet connection with the CPU is isolating the drops.
As stated in the Modicon M580 Safety Manual (QGH46982, 7-2018, page 24):
NOTE: All authorized equipment of an M580 system that are linked to safety modules via Ethernet are considered as non-interfering. As a consequence, all modules from Quantum and STB Advantys ranges (not pluggable in the same rack as M580 safety modules) are Type 2 noninterfering modules.
The table on page 40 in the Modicon Quantum 140CRA31908 Adapter Module Installation and Configuration Guide is incomplete and should also contain the M580 Safety CPU's.

The 140CRA31908 can be used in an M580 Safety RIO system. Whichever the case, eRIO with 140CRA31200 or RIO with 140CRA31908, the ethernet connection with the CPU is isolating the drops.
