What is the difference between a Preinstalled NMC and an Embedded NMC?
A preinstalled NMC would have a Network Management Card already installed in the Smart Slot prior to purchase. UPS's with 'NC' or 'NMC' in the suffix of the sku would have this feature. With a preinstalled NMC, you are able to remove the NMC from the Smart Slot.
With an Embedded NMC, the Network Management Card ports are physically connected to the UPS- this way we are not able to remove or replace the Embedded NMC. Some UPS's do come with an empty Smart Slot for additional accessories.
