How to install a recent Hotfix of Vijeo Designer in a PC where both SoMachine and EcoStruxure Machine Expert are installed?
Some customers are using both SoMachine (with VJD 6.2 SP8 Maximum) and EcoStruxure Machine Expert (with VJD 6.2 SP9.1 Minimum) in the same PC using 2 different versions of Vijeo Designer.
The goal of this article is to provide a workaround when you are failing to install a recent HF in the same PC.
This topic is related to Vijeo Designer installed with both SoMachine and EcoStruxure Machine Expert.
As the recent versions of Vijeo Designer are not compatible with SoMachine, there will be some error messages while installing a recent HF (for example V6.2 SP12 HF3) as showed below:
To fix the issue, you should rename SoMachine Software folder in the Registry editor before installing the HF and then put the original name after installing the HF as described below:
