If your M580 CPU is no longer accessible following an application transfer, the first thing to do is to check the status of the LED on the front panel of the CPU.
If the CPU detects a "duplicate IP address", that means that, in your application program, the Ethernet IP address of the CPU is equal to the IP address of the USB: 90.0.0.1 or 90.0.0.2
The table below, shows in yellow text highlight, the signature of a duplicate address.
An example of configuration that generates a duplicate address
At the end of the transfer, the CPU configures its Ethernet port in 90.0.0.1 and 90.0.0.2, so the CPU creates a duplicate IP address with its USB port (90.0.0.1.
How to proceed to reset the configuration?
Move the CPU to slot n°2 of the rack and power on the PLC. => The CPU will move in "no-conf".
You'll have then the possibility to transfer in the CPU a more conventional configuration.
