How do I mute the sound or alarm for APC Back UPS Floor/Wall mount such as BE1050G3,BE900G3,BE700G3 and BE500G3?

Issue:  How do I mute the sound or alarm for APC Back UPS Floor/Wall mount such as BE1050G3,BE900G3,BE700G3 and BE500G3?

Product Line: BE1050G3,BE900G3,BE700G3 and BE500G3

Resolution:  UPS models BE1050G3,BE900G3,BE700G3 and BE500G3  can mute and unmute using the small button located at the side panel of the UPS.

See simple instructions below:

1. Press and hold the small button until the beep was heard and the LED green will illuminate (alarm is muted/disabled).
2. Press and hold again the small button until the beep was heard and the LED Green will turn off (alarm is unmuted/enabled)



NOTE: UPS models BE1050G3 and BE900G3 is capable of connecting to PCSS (PowerChute Serial Shutdown) because it has a USB port. Through PCSS there is an option for the 2 mentioned UPS models to disable (muted) and enable (unmuted) the alarm.

Step 1 ; From PCSS, Go to product decription and click "UPS settings".


Step 2: From Audible section, you can choose it's either "Disable or Enable".



Step 3: After setting up or choosing the alarm condition whether disable or enable, don't forget to click or hit "Apply" to activate the current set-up.
