The iID B-SI type, once powered, may generate a subtle crackling noise. This noise comes from the technology used in the Power Supply.
We, Schneider Electric, certify that the product operates without any quality problem and that the residual protection is fully ensured.
The source of the noise comes from the power transformer on the product’s PCBA (PWM signal piloting the transformer).
As a conclusion there is no impact on the product’s performance. This phenomenon does not affect advanced and residual protection functions.
