Problem:
- I attempted to create a site code for the EROE license but failed. I received an error message: 'Cannot generate the Site Code!
Solution:
- Please temporarily turn off VPN services or other network services/adaptors. From the Control Panel, disable all network cards currently available in the computer, except for the main Ethernet network card. Then, try to get the Hardware Identifier from the Register application again.
- Check if any other network cards or modems are available and enabled in the Windows Device Manager. If so, proceed to disable those network cards as well.
- Temporarily, disable the VPN service using Task manager.
Detailed Steps:
- Open Task Manager: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
- Locate VPN Process: In Task Manager, find the "Processes" tab. Look for any processes related to your VPN. They will often be named after your VPN provider (e.g., NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Tailscale VPN).
- End the Process: Right-click on the VPN process and select "End task
- After obtaining the Softkey or Hardkey Site Code and activating the EROE Studio license, you can now enable all the network cards or network interfaces that you disabled. This won't affect the EROE Studio license at this point.
