You can install residual current devices in a distribution board with a short-circuit current (Icc) rating of x kA or higher, provided the following conditions are met:

2 - Coordination between the various residual current devices in the installation can be checked as follows:

It is always necessary to check whether you need to provide an RCD - Residual Current Device - type B at the head of your installation. If it is unnecessary, you save costs and work.

In this document, you will find Selector No. 7 on page 54.
Save this document on your laptop, as well as Selector No. 7 itself.
Fill out Selector No. 7 completely and then review the result. From this, you will be able to determine whether you need to provide a type B residual current device at the head.
You can then print this document to PDF, with background selection, and submit it to the inspection body.
