Installation Guidelines
Connect External Cabling

Picture 2: Left Side View of the Maintenance Bypass Cabinet - Single Mains
1. Please, refer to the Connect the Power Cables in a 10-80 kW Top Cable Entry System in the installation manual
2. Identify the Input and Load Busbars in the MBC
3. Land the Utility Source Cables in the Input (L1, L2, L3) busbars in the MBC. This busbar feeds the Unit Input Disconnect Device (UIB) and the Maintenance Bypass Disconnect Device (MBB), as shown in Picture 1.
4. Land the UPS Load Cables in the Load (L1, L2, L3) Busbars in the MBC. This busbar feeds the equipment that the UPS will back up, labeled UPS Output in Picture 1.

1. The cables coming out from UIB (Picture 3) go to the UPS Input busbars in the UPS Cabinet. (Picture 4)
2. The cables coming into UOB (Picture 3) come from the UPS Output busbars in the UPS Cabinet. (Picture 4)
*The UPS busbars distribution shown in picture 4 belongs to a Galaxy VS UPS for External Batteries; the busbar distribution may vary depending on the Galaxy VS model installed, but the instructions are similar.
Important Notes
- Routing: Power cables between UPS and MBC can be routed directly only for UPS with External Batteries. For Internal Batteries, a Conduit Box is required.
- Dual Mains Systems: UIB becomes SSIB (Static Bypass Switch Disconnect Device) and will be fed by the Bypass Source. Remove jumpers between the input and bypass busbars in UPS cabinet. Check the applicable sections for Dual Mains in the adequate UPS Manual.
- Always follow official installation manuals.
