Hoe kunnen wij u vandaag helpen?

I have a PAS800 and a PAS600 on the same TCP/IP network, and both have measurements under them (wireless and serial). I would like the measurements under the PAS600 to be visible on the web server of the PAS800. How can I achieve this?

Here’s what the documentation and best practices say about your scenario:

Can PAS800 display measurements from PAS600?

Yes, this is possible. The EcoStruxure Panel Server supports a parent-child gateway architecture where a parent Panel Server (PAS800 in your case) can access data from devices connected to a child Panel Server (PAS600). This works through Modbus TCP/IP communication between the two gateways.

How to achieve this?

Follow these steps:

  1. On the child gateway (PAS600):
    • Discover and commission all wireless and serial devices under PAS600 using EcoStruxure Power Commission or the Panel Server webpages.
    • Ensure each device has its virtual Modbus server ID assigned (automatically done during discovery).
  1. On the parent gateway (PAS800):
    • Go to Settings > Modbus devices > Device addition > Modbus TCP/IP > Manual addition.
  • For each device under PAS600, enter:
  • IP address: The IP address of the PAS600 (child gateway).
      • Tip: Use a static IP for PAS600 to simplify commissioning.
      • Port: Usually 502 (Modbus TCP default).
      • Unit ID: The virtual server ID assigned by PAS600 to the wireless or serial device.
    • Device type: Select from the drop-down list.
    • Repeat for all devices you want to expose on PAS800.
  1. Result: The PAS800 will act as a Modbus TCP client and retrieve data from PAS600, making those measurements visible on its web server.

Important Notes

  • Parameter settings (like contextualization or alarm configuration) entered in PAS600 are not transferred to PAS800. You may need to configure them again on PAS800 if required.
  • The parent gateway monitors the Modbus TCP/IP communication status of the child gateway and will raise an alarm if the child disconnects.
  • This feature is available on Universal (PAS600) and Advanced (PAS800) models only.
