Resolution:
- Inspect the Drive Connector Pins
Check if any of the pins are bent on the drive where the option card plugs in.
If bent pins are found, carefully straighten them or replace the drive if necessary.
- Swap Option Cards
Try swapping the option cards between drives.
Observe whether the issue stays with the original drive or follows the card.
If the issue follows the card: The card may be faulty.
If the issue stays with the drive: The drive may be the source of the problem.
- Test the Drive Without an Option Card
Remove the option card and power up the drive.
If the drive faults without the card installed, a replacement drive may be required.
