Where should a dynamic braking resistor be installed on an ATV320?

Article available in these languages: Czech, Greek, Japanese

Resolution:

The ATV320 has 2 model types.
On the ATV320...B drives, the braking resistor should connect between terminals PB and PBe.
On the ATV320...C drives, the braking resistor should connect between terminals PB and PO.

Also, verify that parameter brA (Deceleration Ramp Adaptation) is set to NO.  Factory default for brA parameter is Yes.  The drive will not use the braking resistor if brA is set to Yes.  The brA parameter can be found at the following menu location:  COnF - FULL - FUn - rPt -rPt- brA.

See the ATV320 Installation Manual for any further details.
