The part number of screen protective sheets for the HMISTU855 is HMIZS62. It comes with 5 sheets per part number.

The HMISTU HMIs uses VxWork 5.5 as the operating system.

The HMI Modular panel HMISTM6200 is a combination of a display module 4” (HMISTM62) and a rear module (HMISTM6B) that are mounted through a 22mm hole.
The HMI Modular panel HMISTM6400 is a combination of a display module 4” (HMISTM64) and a rear module (HMISTM6B) that are mounted through a 22mm hole.

NOTE: To program these HMI models, use the EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert software.

Marine certification document: DNV rules for classification – Ships, offshore units, and high speed and light craft.

Attached is the DNV Type Approval Certificate

Installing, operating and maintenance

Part number to connect Zelio Logic SR3 RJ45 (RS485 Modbus) to the RJ45 port of the HMIs from these families: HMISTU, HMISCU, HMIGTO, HMIGTU, HMIST6, HMISTO715 is either:
XBTZ9980 (2,5 m), or
XBTZ9982 (10 m).

These two cables have the same pinouts, but have different lengths.

Goals and Symptoms
This resolution is to sync the Magelis time of day clock to a PLC clock. You will need to read the clock and put each value into a separate address/tag. How this will work is that on startup, the Magelis will try to communicate to the PLC to set the HMI clock using two scripts (sys.setTime and sys.setDate).
Causes and Fixes
HMISTU655/855 sync to a PLC TOD
This resolution is to sync the Magelis time of day clock to a PLC clock. You will need to read the clock and put each value into a separate address/tag.
How this will work is that on startup, the Magelis will try to communicate to the PLC to set the HMI clock using two scripts (sys.setTime and sys.setDate).

Enable Time Management for Manual configuration and also enable Auto start. The time to auto start is up to you. You want to optimize the time so that
your PLC is up before Magelis starts communicating. 20 seconds is just a starting reference and it could be more or less depending on the PLC boot time.

image1

Create 5 external variables for the hours, minutes, month, day, and year to read the data from the PLC.

image2

Create an external communications statistics variable to monitor the communication for that scangroup.

image3

Last but not least, create an internal boolean variable with a initial value of 1.  The initial value is under the Data Details Tab.

image4

Under Actions, create an action with a trigger type of Conditional.  Trigger Variable is the Communications statistics variable, Good_Comms, and Trigger Condition as On Data Change.
Also check the box for Enable Interlock with the following syntax: "Set_clock == 1 && Good_Comms == 5", then click Next.

image5

Select Script as an operation and click New Script.
image6

Type the following script into the field. Your variables that are reading the TOD maybe different then the ones in this resolution. Keep in mind that the PLC_year variable needs to be a 4 digit value.

image7

Click Add and then add another operation called Bit with the Reset operation on the Set_clock boolean tag.  Click Add and Finish.

image8

This Action will run on the HMI when the Good_Comms counter has reached a value of 5 and the Set_clock is TRUE to set the TOD clock.  Once the clock is set, Set_clock is set to FALSE
and the script will no longer execute until a power cycle of the HMI.

For a HMISTU targets, the retentive variables are automatically stored every 10 seconds.
For a HMISTO targets, the retentive variables are automatically stored hourly.

Unfortunetly there is no way for the unit to be recovered. The unit must be sent in for repair.
To configure the Modbus Ethernet Server of the Modicon M221,
1) Open the .SMBP project for the M221 in EcoStruxure Machine Expert-Basic
2) Go to the green Configuration Tab
3) Expand the "MyController" node
4) Click on "ETH1" to select it
5) Set up a Fixed IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway Address as desired
6) Ensure that "Modbus server enabled" has a tickmark in the checkbox
EME-B
7) Download the changes to the PLC.

In Vijeo Designer, to configure the HMI, take the following steps:
1) In the Project tab of the Navigator window, right-click on IO Manager
2) Add the Modbus TCP/IP Driver
3) Double-click on the "ModbusEquipment01" node to bring up the "Equipment Configuration" dialog.
4) Set the IP Address to match that of the M221
5) Set the Unit ID to be 255 (that is the default Unit ID of the M221)
6) Tick the checkbox for "IEC61131 Syntax" (this will use %M and %MW notation for Device Addresses)
7) Under "Variables", set the "Double Word word order" to be "Low word first" (this is the word order for 32-bit Variables such as REAL types)

After uninstalling SoMachine and Machine Expert make sure to delete this registry keys if they exist:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Schneider Electric\SoMachine Software

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Schneider Electric\Machine Expert Installer

Then reinstall Vijeo Designer 6.2 and apply SP9 as administrator.

Note: SP9 and older is compatible with EcoStruxure Machine Expert 1.2 and up.

Please find the download links for Vijeo Designer V6.2 SP9 below
You must have Vijeo Designer 6.2 already installed.
Each SP is cumulative so you do not need to install SP1-8 first.
*NOTE: In order to successfully install the service pack or any of the related packages, always right-click on the exe file and select "Run as Administrator". This will ensure the installation is completed properly.

*NOTE: Please install the Vijeo Designer SP9 v6.2.9.36 and then apply the Vijeo Designer SP9 HF 6.2.9.1702 on top.

The Vijeo Designer Data Manger is for a standalone install ONLY. There is no need to install the tool with full version of the Vijeo Designer development environment as it already comes pre-installed.

The Siemens TIA Ethernet driver is supported by the following HMI families on Vijeo Designer: HMISCU, HMIGTO, HMIGTU and iPC.

The Siemens TIA Ethernet driver is NOT supported by the following HMI families: HMISTO5, HMISTU, XBTGT.

You need to go in your Vijeo Manager. By default the location will be:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Vijeo-Designer 6.2\

Vijeo Manager default location

In that Vijeo Manager folder, find your project name and navigate to

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Vijeo-Designer 6.2\Vijeo-Manager\"project name"\Build\Projects\"target name"

*Make sure your project has been built.

You can only automatically resize your panels and objects if you are going to a bigger screen resolution. If downgrading the resolution size, you will need to manually resize the objects accordingly.

There is a checkbox to check if you want it sized up automatically:
size up project

Notice you are not presented with this option when going to a lower resolution HMI:
downsize project

Vijeo Designer will display an error when 200 or more User Defined Data types have been created. This usually happens when using the Symbol Import feature to link tags from a PLC. When there have been too many updates to your PLC project to an already imported DDT, the import utility will consider the DDT to be a new DDT. For example,  when you add a new element or member to the DDT definition in Unity, Vijeo Designer will treat this as a completely differnt DDT altogether. Take this for example, if you have imported Pump which is defined like this:

Pump
+ InFlow
+ OutFlow

and then updated Pump in Unity to add something like

Pump
+Inflow
+OutFlow
+Delta

It will treat the new Pump as Pump1, instead of the original "Pump" and so on. To avoid this type of issue, it is recommended to only link /update you symbols when you are closer to completing the PLC project. If you are developing them in parallel, perhaps try not to update the link too often until you really need to. The only real way to resolve this is to remove all the data types, remove the symbol link, and then re-link the tags so that the count is under 200.
