How can we help you today?
Can the Series 300 (with the new Group G controller) be used on a different voltage system?
Answer: Yes, a Series 300 (with the new Group G controller) be used on a different voltage system after some changes are made.

HOWEVER, the following parts below MAY need replacing.
  1. Group G controller
  2. Transfer Switch Coil

Furthermore, dipswitch settings and voltage jumper positions must be set properly.

A Group G controller has three (3) part numbers and are rated for certain nominal voltages.
  1. PN 894000-001 – 115V and 120V
  2. PN 894000-002 – 208V, 220V, 230V, 240V, 380V, 400V, 415V, 440V, 460V, and 480V
  3. PN 894000-003 – 277V, 550V, 575V, and 600V

A transfer switch coil is also rated for a certain voltage range. For example, a coil assembly can be rated for 190-240V.

So, if a transfer switch came rated at 3-phase 208V and the customer decided to use it on a 1-phase 240V system, they won’t have to replace any part.  They just need to change some settings (See Dipswitch tables below).

But, if the transfer switch came rated for 3-phase 480V and they need to use it on a 3-phase 208V system, then they need to replace the Group G controller and the transfer switch coil.
