Can additional holes be cut or drilled in the Field in Combination Service Entrance Device(CSED) Enclosures?

Request:
Cutting/Drilling holes in CSED enclosures

Product Line:
Combination Service Entrance Device

Environment:
Enclosures

Cause:
application

Resolution:
CSED = Combination Service Entrance Device
KO's = Knockouts

ALL CSED come with appropriate KO's and hub provisions to meet the UL and NEMA rating of the enclosures. Additional Holes should NOT be cut or drilled in CSED Enclosures in the field because this will void the UL and NEMA ratings of the enclosure and device.  If a installer wants or needs to cut or drill additional holes in a CSED enclosure, that will be between the installer and the local code authority and/or Utility company and Square D/Schneider Electric would not be involved.
