When searching for documentation on the Site Server—whether on SE.com or through Google—it’s best to use the term “EcoStruxure Site Server”.
The EcoStruxure Site Server (ESS) is an Internet of Things (IoT) gateway designed to enable cloud-based energy management services as part of the EcoStruxure architecture. It provides a secure connection to the Schneider Electric (SE) cloud, allowing you to safely access information, optimize your power system, and achieve sustainability goals for energy efficiency.
EcoStruxure Site Server is an accessory for EcoStruxure Energy Hub (EEH). It is manufactured under the Harmony P6 product line but configured as a gateway for the EEH system.

It is powerful IoT gateway with enhanced cybersecurity, Site Server connects the entire site’s electrical and energy network. Onboard web pages allow you to connect and configure power and energy meters, intelligent circuit breakers and other metered electrical assets and push this data to the cloud.
It can be order like any other PowerLogic/ ION product, and has mostly (4) parts numbers:
- PSWSSUD1A: for Universal DC power control and communicates over Ethernet
- PSWSSUA1A: for Universal AC power control and communicates over Ethernet
- PSWSSUD2A: for Universal DC power control and communicates over Ethernet and RS-485
- PSWSSUA2A: for Universal AC power control and communicates over Ethernet and RS-485.
The EcoStruxure Site Server is a Windows-based PC device, similar to a computer, that includes a version of Power Monitoring Expert (PME) software. It comes with a license activation ID for PME and a device key that enables secure cloud connectivity. This information is provided on a label located on the back of the unit.
Also, the Site Server can be offered as a standalone device or housed in an enclosure, model FAEMGW1PDXN (see attachment).
