Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2030, working with Schneider Electric to enhance energy management and infrastructure. Utilizing Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure™ and Energy Management Information System, YVR is transitioning to renewable energy sources and electrifying its operations. This collaboration has already resulted in significant reductions in carbon emissions, with efficiency projects saving 530 tonnes of CO2e annually and an 18% reduction in operational emissions between 2022 and 2023. YVR's efforts not only aim to transform its own operations but also set a benchmark for sustainable aviation practices across North America.
