Issue:
Unable to configure Native serial shutdown on Microsoft Windows.

Product:

Environment:
Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 10, 11, Windows server 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025

Cause:
Microsoft has removed the serial UPS support from its operating systems.

Solution:
For Smart-UPS switch connection type and use USB, or install PowerChute Serial Shutdown.
For a Back-UPS switch connection type and use USB, or install PowerChute Serial Shutdown.
