On the ATV71, trying to program the normally closed contact on the R1 relay (terminals R1C to R1B) for a run status.

Resolution:
By default on the ATV71 drives, R2 is configured as a Drive Run contact. To change R1 to Drive running:
Go into Main Menu > Drive Menu > 1.5 Inputs/Outputs Cfg > R1 Configuration. Select Drive running and push Enter to save.
