In general, the rule is that Vijeo Designer Vx.y will support four previous minor versions.
For example, V6.2 can open applications created with:

.. Vijeo Designer V6.0 (and associated patches)
.. Vijeo Designer V5.1 (and associated patches)
.. Vijeo Designer V5.0 (and associated patches)
Vijeo Designer V5.1 can open applications created with:

.. Vijeo Designer V4.7 (and associated patches)
.. Vijeo Designer V4.6 (and associated patches)
.. Vijeo Designer V4.5 (and associated patches)
