Does the Momentum weighing module require a processor or a communication adapter on top of the base?
No, The weighing module can be run without peer communications or a PLC. The base has it's own on board processor that will hold it's configuration and the values read from the weighing device. A dummy top hat is included with the base to keep out dust and other contaminants from the otherwise exposed components of the base.
