Battery Low warning in event log. Meter does not retain time when powered off.

Cause
Low battery or battery counter needing to be reset.
Resolution
*Warning: This procedure is intended ONLY for ION 7500 or 7600. A different procedure may be required for newer ION 7550 and 7650 devices.
*Warning: Installation and maintenance of this device should only be performed by qualified,
competent personnel that have appropriate training and experience with high voltage and current
devices. Failure to follow the instructions / warnings in the Meter Installation Guide can result in
permanent damage to the meter, severe injury or death.
In case of low battery:
Suggested replacement battery is Tadiran Model TL-5276/W or equivalent.
How to change the battery of the ION 75/7600
1.) Equipment needed: long shank phillips screw driver, broad slotted screw driver, small zip tie
2.) Open up the meter
3.) Remove the screws and grounding screws on the communication card
4.) In particular remove the grounding nut
5.) Notice the openings that let you push onto the power supply card
6.) With the heel of your hand hit the slotted screw driver to pop one side of the power supply card free
7.) Now, pop the other side free
8.) The power supply card is now ready to drop out the bottom
9.) The battery is held in with a zip tie. cut the zip tie and remove the old battery
10.) Slide in the new zip tie
11.) Insert the new battery, tighten the zip tie, and cut off the excess
12.) Reassemble the meter
Battery Counter Reset
13.) The battery counter needs to be reset at this point
a.) Open a DOS command prompt and type telnet <ip.address.of.meter>
b.) Login = 7500 or 7600 (dependent upon your meter type)
c.) Password = <front panel password>
d.) Press 9 <ENTER>
e.) Type HN <ENTER>
f.) Cycle power to the meter
