Can the M340 or M580 backplanes be mounted in a vertical fashion?
Issue:
I have minimal space available in my panel. Can the M340 / M580 backplanes be mounted in a vertical fashion?

Resolution:
No, M340 / M580 / X80 product family can not be mounted vertically. This practice is not supported.
The BMXXBP- and BMEXBP- backplanes have to be mounted in a horizontal fashion to facilitate proper ventilation and cooling.
