Can you use the ATV12 drive on 230vac single phase input and get 230vac 3 phase output?
Issue:
Using an ATV12 drive on 230vac 1 phase input and getting 230vac 3 phase output.

Cause:
Needs to feed the drive 1 phase input and have 3 phase voltage coming out of the drive.
Resolution:
The ATV12 version with suffix M2 is designed for 230vac single phase input and will produce a 230vac 3 phase output.
The ATV12 version with suffix M3 is not designed or rated for single phase supply.
Note that all Altivar drives are designed to control / run 3phase motors. They are not designed for phase converter applications to power a machine that includes various loads such as contactors, transformers, relays, heaters, pilot lights etc...
