Why is Tricast cast resin dry type transformer more expensive than oil type ?

The main reason is that; Tricast cast resin dry type transformers are not operating inside an oil cooling media. Instead the active part is directly exposed to the environmental condition which is making the active part bigger compared to the one that is operating inside an insulating cooling media. Thus, the oil filled transformers are more economical compared to the cast resin transformers.
