Clarification on when the meter auto-ranges from kWh to MWh in iEM3200 meter
Product: iEM3200 Energy Meter
Customer Question:
The specification mentions that the display will show 99,999,999.9 kWh/MWh.
My customer wants to know:
At what point will the meter auto-range?
Will it change at 999,999.999, 9,999,999.99, or 99,999,999.9?
Answer:
The iEM3200 meter displays energy in kilowatt-hours (kWh) by default. It can display values up to 99,999,999.9 kWh.
Once this maximum value is reached, the meter will roll over and begin displaying in megawatt-hours (MWh).
So, the unit will change only after reaching 99,999,999.9 kWh.
✅ Auto-ranging occurs at: 99,999,999.9 kWh
🔁 After this point, the display switches to MWh
📌 Intermediate values like 999,999.999 or 9,999,999.99 will still be shown in kWh
