Can I use the service port on the M580 HSBY processor for SCADA traffic while servicing ERIO ?
Not recommended. Please consider using an NOC module. The service port does not support Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol and as a result the connection of each of these ports to a SCADA can result in an excessive amount of broadcast or ARP traffic.
