Issue
The Event Notification Module (ENM) Monitoring and Diagnostics pages display [Invalid Date] in timestamp columns instead of the actual timestamp.
Product Line
ENM 8.3.x
Environment
PowerSCADA Expert 8.1
Power Monitoring Expert 8.1
Cause
Some Windows locales use special characters for AM/PM notation (e.g., Italian [Switzerland], Chinese [Singapore]). When Windows is configured to use one of these locales, ENM cannot properly format timestamps, resulting in [Invalid Date].
Resolution
Change the Windows locale to one that uses standard AM/PM characters.
Examples:
- Italian (Italy)
- Chinese (China)
Steps:
- Open Control Panel → Region and Language.
- Change the locale to a supported setting.
- Restart ENM services if necessary.
Notes
- This issue applies only to ENM 8.x and PME 8.1.
- Newer versions of PME and ENM have resolved this locale parsing issue.
Recommendation
If you are using an older version of PME or ENM, upgrading to the latest version is strongly recommended. Upgrading provides better compatibility, improved security, and fixes for known issues.
