Can the different power sizes of Altivar Process frequency drive ATV930 be connected to the same DC bus?
ATV930 drives are split into 4 groups depending on voltage class and pre-charging circuit. See attached table. DC bus connection can be established without the problem with the drives that belong to the same group or it is also possible to establish a connection between drives from A1 and A2 groups. Likewise drives in group B1 can be linked with drives in the B2 group.
Drives from group A can never be combined with drives from group B.
Bear in mind that there might be additional rules if not all drives that are in the same DC bus are connected to the AC supply at the same time (but fed from the DC bus only).
