How to fix problem when TSXCUSB485 or TSXCUSB232 cable is not recognized by windows 10/11?
Issue
Windows 10 doesn't recognize the connection cable TSXCUSB485 or TSXCUSB232.

Step 1: Uninstall the Existing TSX Cable Driver
- Plug in the TSXCUSB485 or TSXCUSB232 cable.
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand the Serial USB folder.
- Right-click the TSX cable driver and select Uninstall.
Windows 11 Considerations

- In Device Manager, the cable may appear under Ports (COM & LPT) rather than Serial USB after successful driver installation.
Step 2: Prevent Automatic Driver Installation
- Open Control Panel.
- Navigate to: System > Advanced System Settings > Hardware
- Select Device Installation Settings.
- For the option: "Do you want to automatically download manufacturers' apps and custom icons available for your devices?"
- Select: No
- Save the changes.

- Device Installation Settings can still be accessed through Control Panel, but navigation may differ from older screenshots.
Step 3: Uninstall Driver Manager x64
- Open Registry Editor.
- Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
- Search for: DriverManager x64
- Locate the UninstallString entry.
- Copy the uninstall command (typically an
msiexeccommand). - Run the command from an elevated Command Prompt to remove Driver Manager x64.

- Driver Manager x64 may also appear under: Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
Step 4: Restart the Computer
- Unplug the TSX cable.
- Restart the PC.
Step 5: Verify Microsoft .NET Framework Features
- Open Turn Windows features on or off.
- Verify that Microsoft .NET Framework is enabled, including its subcategories:
- Enable any missing components if required.

- Ensure .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.8 Advanced Services are enabled, including its subcategories.
Step 6: Install the Schneider Driver
Install one of the following:
- SchneiderModbusDriverSuite 14.12 or later or Reinstall Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert completely.
Step 7: Confirm Successful Installation
- Plug the TSX cable back into the computer.
- Open Device Manager.
- Verify that the cable appears under the COM Ports section.
- If the cable is displayed correctly and assigned a COM port, the issue has been resolved.
